It is a large river valley with mountains on one side and on the other side large open high plains. We’ve not had to use the wood stove (optional) yet but no doubt we’ll be warm this fall and winter when it is needed.Hello everyone! So after a long process and a ton of hours, I am so happy to present to you “Elk Mountain Wyoming” for FS22! It’s a 4x map and at the moment only for PC. 16′ is plenty big for a queen sized inflatable bed, a wood stove, a couple camp chairs and still space for clothing bins and moving around. We also secured the bottom to the platform using the same loop points the ground spikes would have used. Setup the first time (and only time so far) took my wife and I about an hour…it can be done faster for sure, but we took our time.

One note, if you’re going to build a platform to put the tent on, be sure to open and measure it first, it’s a bit wider than 16′ in actual measurements…so a 17′ square (or a 17′ circle if you’re a perfectionist) will be plenty. Construction is amazing for the price, much better than the big outdoor store outfitter tent and as good as, if not better quality than higher priced canvas outfitter tents from a large sky state. Actual tent size varies slightly from listed size.įive stars for sure! This is a fantastic tent in every way.

Photos: The product photos are of the 16ft model. Weight: with frames and stakes 13 – 80 lbs, 16 -95 lbs, 20 – 115lbs. The bag is larger enough to hold tent and poles. Bag: All contents come in a zippered bag with handle. One will be longer for the top of the door. Guy ropes: comes will all the guide ropes. If you expect high winds or rocky ground we suggesting getting some of our larger stakes. Stakes: includes stakes for around the bottom of the tent and ropes. Having a thicker wall pipe or lumber for the center pole is also helpful for handling snow loads. You can replace this pole with a 1 1/4″ rigid pipe (found in the plumbing section) or lumber. The center pole on the 20-foot tents can bow due to each joint connection allowing a little movement. Includes an A-Frame pole system for doorway. Always make sure you use the gaskets to protect the floor and canvas. Center pole has a rubber gasket at the bottom and top to protect the floor and canvas. Poles: Galvanized steel central pole breaks down into three segments to make it easier to manage. The feet of the door poles should be about a foot away from the way to give the proper angle. Do not use the ties closest to the floor. There are some ties inside to help keep the poles in place. The door poles are held in place by gravity and rope system. The tent instructions show pockets for the door poles sewn onto the floor, but we currently are not making those pockets. Groundsheet: PVC 540g, zips into tent and curves up the wall 3.5″ to keep water out.
